Ranging in all sizes, mammals are found on every continent and in every ocean while being some of the most adaptable animals on the planet. Of the more than 5,000 species of mammals on Earth, sadly roughly one-fifth are known to be threatened or extinct. Socially more advanced than other types of animals, mammals have found a way to live in mostly every habitat found throughout the world.
