Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
Captured with an exposure to look like a painting, a biting wind begins to blow snow across Antelope Flats as the chill of an early fall envelopes over the valley floor. On the eastern side of historic Mormon Row are reminders of the Andy Chambers homestead, including its granary. The homestead was the last land claim filed on Mormon Row in 1912. It is the area’s best-preserved example of a working ranch. The granary is one of the lasting symbols of the ranch’s history with hay production. The vast grasslands that still surround these homesteads are the reminder of the homesteader’s grit and perseverance in cultivating the landscape that surrounded them.
