Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
A bull moose quietly passes through the autumn grass in the Gros Ventre river bottom. As a tributary of the Snake River, the Gros Ventre (pronounced ‘grow-vont’), means “big belly” in French, provides a safe-haven for many different species in the Grand Tetons with its mature cottonwood trees and thick sage brush.
